James E. Miller is the Managing Partner of Miller Shah LLP and one of the nation’s leading whistleblower attorneys. With more than thirty years of trial experience, Jim has served as lead counsel in numerous high-stakes False Claims Act, securities, ERISA, and antitrust cases, securing multimillion-dollar recoveries for clients and the government.
A graduate of Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Jim began his career clerking for the Honorable Daniel H. Huyett, 3rd, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He later became a partner at Pelino & Lentz, P.C., where he built a reputation for his success in employment and financial litigation.
Jim was honored as Whistleblower Lawyer of the Year (2020) by Taxpayers Against Fraud Education Fund, the leading national organization promoting whistleblower rights, in recognition of his contributions to major False Claims Act recoveries and advocacy on behalf of whistleblowers worldwide.
In addition to leading Miller Shah’s whistleblower and financial litigation practice, Jim serves on the Board of IAG Global, is the Founder of International Friends of Festival Verdi, and sits on the Advisory Council of Cornell University’s ILR School.
